聞到糖香、吃到甜味,讓你想到什麼?在不虞匱乏的「飽食時代」,甜甜的糖香味將啟動什麼樣的化學作用,令人想起的是什麼樣的味道、菜色、場景或情感?是滿足或恐懼?喚起的是美好或苦澀的記憶?
《糖甘蜜甜》以糖廠為創作發想的場域,希望以糖香味為引導,讓這一股味覺和嗅覺的記憶穿越百年,串連起大臺南香甜的歷史記憶,試圖拼湊糖廠生活的樣貌和變遷,及時代推進、產業轉型的軌跡,探索糖業運轉、牽動的地方生活史與地方記憶,與不同年代的人們對「糖」甜蜜的想望。
What do you recall when you smell or eat sweets? When hungry is not a problem anymore, what kind of chemical reaction will be initiated by the sweet flavor of sugar? What kind of flavors, dishes, scenes or emotions do you recall? Is it a satisfaction, fear, good memory or bad memory?
 The Flavor of Sweet is a production inspired by a sugar factory. It wished to be led by the flavor of sweet, made the memory of taste and smell travel back to hundreds of years ago , and puzzle up the sweet memory of Greater Tainan City. It presented the transformation of sugar factory through time, explored the local history, collective memory as well as the imagination of the flavor of sweet in different generations.
